Travel Trailer

A compact single-axle travel trailer designed for off-grid travel and accommodating two to three people. Its structure features a rigid, two-section fiberglass shell mounted on a reinforced single-axle steel frame equipped with a rubber torsion suspension, 14-inch wheels, and electric brakes. The trailer measures 5.2 m in length and 2.1 m in width, with an exterior height of 2.8 m and an interior height of 1.9 m; it has a dry weight of 1,120 kg and a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 1,600 kg. The layout includes a dining area that converts into sleeping quarters, as well as a separate, compact bathroom featuring a shower, toilet, and sink. The interior is constructed primarily of molded fiberglass and includes upholstered cushions, a galley with a two-burner stove, a sink, and a refrigerator (approx. 4 cubic feet), along with a wardrobe, overhead storage compartments, and opening windows with insect screens. The plumbing system comprises a 65-liter fresh water tank, a 125-liter gray water tank, and a 60-liter black water tank; water heating is provided by both an electric heating element and a 23-liter gas water heater. Electrical equipment includes a 12-volt deep-cycle battery, a charger and inverter, LED interior lighting, a USB port, and a 30-amp external shore power connection. Climate control is managed by a roof-mounted air conditioner with an electric heating function, while ventilation is provided by opening windows and a roof exhaust fan. This design combines a lightweight fiberglass body, a compact single-axle chassis, convertible sleeping areas, a full-featured kitchen, a bathroom, and autonomous utility systems into a small travel trailer designed to be towed by a standard passenger car or mid-sized vehicle.
